If you’re the type of person who loves to travel, especially with the one you love, then you’ll adore the story of Nick and Zoe Aust. This couple, both being travel-fans, didn’t want a traditional, all in one place honeymoon. Instead, they chose to visit 33 different countries following their nuptials. And, even more impressive, blushing bride Zoe chose to wear her wedding dress to each of them.
Tracking their journey via Instagram, the couple quickly gained almost 50,000 followers. And, no, before you ask, they weren’t supremely wealthy either. Instead, they saved up for two full years before their wedding to make their honeymoon travel dream a reality.
This world-traveling duo first met way back in high school, but romance didn’t blossom until they reconnected several years down the road. During the early days of their romance, they did their fair share of traveling, visiting Iceland and Paris, the latter of which being where Nick popped the question!
After accepting the proposal, Zoe said her vows to Nick in December of 2017. Nick’s company then sold, freeing them up to start traveling. Both were sure to pack their wedding gear wherever they went- and they went a lot of places!- and to take plenty of beautiful photos at each locale.
Some of these locations and photo-ops were pre-planned, with both members of the pair providing input as to their dream destinations. Others, however, were researched or dreamed up along the way, adding some adventure and spice into this already-exciting honeymoon tour. And, while Zoe admits that her beautiful, beaded wedding dress may have gotten a little wet and wrinkled along the way, both parts of this duo state that they wouldn’t trade their trek for anything. They also say that they never expected the Instagram excitement that their journey was met with, though they definitely embraced and had fun with it.
So, with all that traveling, you may be wondering what their favorite stop was? For Nick, it was Japan. He couldn’t get enough of the food, the culture, or the amazing historic stops they visited along the way. Zoe, however, swears by Cappadocia, Turkey, where she was enthralled by the hot air balloons and found herself feeling super relaxed and at peace.
While their travels may be over, the couple still boasts a major Instagram following and, most importantly of all, a host of beloved travel memories that can never be erased, as well as the bond their travel created.
