When you plan your wedding, there is always a big party the night before you take your vows. After all, you are promising to spend the rest of your life with another person. So it makes perfect sense that you would want to celebrate the disunion to a past loved one. If you are not the person who has chosen to file for divorce, then a divorce party is even better for you.

Why Would Anyone Want To Celebrate A Divorce?

The concept of throwing a party that marks your newfound life of being single may seem odd to many people. However, having a divorce party is like having acceptance and closure all in one event. You spent years giving to your spouse, and more than likely you neglected your own well being in the process.

When you gather with loved ones to celebrate your break-up, this choice can work wonders for your self-esteem and acceptance of the situation at hand. It is hard to let go, but when you have a new date to celebrate, life seems a lot more doable. You no longer think of the anniversary you shared, but rather, now you have a new anniversary to celebrate.

This concept has helped many people make it through the hardest times in their lives. When you are surrounded by family and friends that love you, all of a sudden you can see there is still so much left to life. Instead of falling into a deep depression, you can enjoy a divorce party and feel true liberation.

If you have a friend that is struggling with their divorce, then maybe it is time to consider throwing them a divorce party. You can gather all of their closest friends and family, and the surprise will be more than enough to let them know that you are supportive of their situation and love them. They are going through a rough time of feeling discarded, and there truly is no better way to show someone that you love and support them than with a divorce party.

A divorce party helps to reduce the stigma that surrounds divorce. For many years, we have been taught that divorce is an abomination. However, a divorce party helps to show that this is not the case. Therefore, when you throw yourself a divorce party, you are actually saying that I am okay with the choice at hand and I accept whatever is still to come. Ultimately, a party celebrating divorce allows for a piece of mind that says I am not broken and I am loved.

In all honesty, it is hard to feel loved when you are going through a divorce. However, when you surround yourself with people who love and support you, all of a sudden it is hard to deny the fact that you are loved. The best way to close one chapter of your life and start a new one, is to enjoy at least one night with those who do love you. You will find that in just one night that your whole mindset can change, and what once seemed so devastating can become liberating.
